EDUCATION AND HEALTH
Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to provide education and literacy. Clean Water for Haiti
MORE THAN PROVIDING CLEAN WATER
We support local solutions to bring clean water to Haitian families each day through bio sand water filters. Helping to fund reliable transportation ensures that families receive the filters as well as on-going filter maintenance and hygiene education. Making filters provides employment, healthier economies and empowers people for the long term. Empowering people, improving lives, and sustaining change – and it all starts with providing clean water.
Kiva Micro Loans
Kal Rotary has provided over $135,000 in loans since 2015 to over 5,381 recipients in developing countries around the world.
GROWING LOCAL ECONOMIES
We enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work by providing small business loans to women in developing countries. This way, the women can better support their families and communities.
Hippo Rollers for Africa
CLEAN WATER, HEALTH AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Hippo Rollers improve access to clean water in rural communities in Africa by carrying 90L of water more easily and efficiently than traditional methods. More water means a better quality of life, children are able to get to school and gain better employment opportunities. Families can irrigate, generating income and rising above subsistence living levels.
Zimbabwe Project – Community Garden
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
By supporting the community agricultural garden as part of the Zimbabwe Project, Kal Rotary is supporting sustainable projects developed and implemented by the community to provide villagers with ongoing income. This income allows children to go to school and provide food to their families.
