The proceeds of Kalamalka Rotary’s Annual Dream Auction in November allow the club to support community based and international projects.

Local projects are normally in one of these areas of focus:

  • Parks and Recreation
  • Arts and Science
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health Care

Projects need to be capital in nature, have a broad community impact and a defined start and finish. The applicant must demonstrate sustained organizational capacity and financial accountability.

For 2026

  • applications for capital and operating funding will be considered
  • application submissions start Dec 1, 2025
  • application deadline is May 1, 2026.

International projects are generally in partnership with organizations that have both local and international ties and are capable of providing sound financial and organizational oversight for the duration of the project.

Areas of Focus for international projects include:

  • Peacebuilding and conflict prevention
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Community economic development
