I am so pleased to introduce myself. My name is Jacqueline Rivard & I am excited to step into a leadership role as President and become more involved in all that our club does not just locally, but internationally. This role will not only reinforce my love for Rotary, but it will also grow my connections with our members and our community.
This last year has had so many unique & difficult challenges for many of us. Getting through a long Pandemic has been something that none of us could have expected, but as a community we can & have emerged stronger.
This year our club has chosen to focus on youth services, fellowship and engagement. I have worked with our International Youth Exchange Program for 7 years now & am so excited to see it come back for the 2022-2023 academic year. I am also ecstatic to see the return of our beloved annual fundraiser; The Kalamalka Rotary Dream Auction. This fundraiser holds such a special place for our members, and we are excited to see it return in a fresh way – a hybrid format.
As a group, we meet Thursdays at noon for lunch at the Vernon Golf & Country Club. We welcome new faces and encourage a variety of community speakers – Please join us, whether you are new to Vernon or been here awhile and want to embrace some new opportunities!
I look forward to hearing from you and working alongside you in the beautiful community that we call home, Vernon.
